Good xmas crafts/activities for kids?

I am looking for some ideas for a 7 and 9 year old to do for Christmas crafts or activites for them. besides for them decorate cookies or stringing popcorn, I really can't think of anything else for them to do. they love to do crafty stuff and all but like I said, I'm really drawing a blank on this one. any ideas would be really appreciated! oh and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all! making pop up books are fun I remember when I was younger always making reindeer out of candycanes with eyes and pipe cleaners, then use them as ornaments. Any good sites or ideas about Christmas crafts?

Does anyone can help me? Im teaching 7 year old students arts and crafts. the popsicle stick sled ornament is one of my favorites! plus they can decorate it however they please and take it home to mom and dad. and it can also be non-denomiational. http://kids.creativity-portal.com/d/proj… I've always loved pipe cleaner candy canes! Trust me! There isn't a child who doesn't like them! You can make your own ornaments. Christmas craft ideas/ornaments using the child's pictures?

I teach Kindergarten and am looking for craft ideas, such as ornaments that I could put the child's picture on them. I think it would be a great keepsake. if you have any ideas or something cute your child has made, please share!!! Make ornaments out of construction paper and allow the children to decorate their own. Cut a hole in the middle and insert the child's picture with a piece of construction paper behind, as well. Add bows, sequins, etc. you can make gingerbread men/women (actual cookies but i think my teacher put glue to help them harden) and put raisins for buttons and put the child's face on the head. that would be neat.
